Sweet 16 has been set:

<- Baylor's Brady Heslip letting everyone know what he does best.  Heslip hit for 9 3's in Baylor's 17 point win over Colorado on Sat.  He is averaging 12.5 more points per game benefiting drafter Ken Kremer who picked him up in the 6th round.

From a tournament standpoint, the following leagues are represented in the Sweet 16

* note there are no teams from west of the Rocky Mountains left in the tournament

Big East - 4 (Cincinnati, Louisville, Marquette, Syracuse)

Big 10 - 4 (Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin)

ACC - 2 (North Carolina, North Carolina State)

Big 12 - 2 (Baylor, Kansas)

SEC - 2 (Florida, Kentucky)

ATL 10 - 1  (Xavier)

Mid American - 1 (Ohio)

Current year:

This upcoming weekend will make or break many of the teams that drafted this year.   It is very close as less than 90 points separate first place from ninth place so far in our draft game.  Current leader after the 1st couple of games is the team headed by Ken Kremer with 515 points but Kenny is forecast to drop down to 5th after this Friday based on our forecasted outcomes.  The Lehman team of John and Mike are on the move.  Although currently sitting in 5th place, I've got them moving up to first before the Elite games start on Saturday.  The Trevino team Sam, Nick & Ralph have shown up strong again in 2012 as they did last year, their initial year in the draft.  I have them moving into 2nd place before Saturday's Elite 8 games begin.

You can see that the upsets took out some scoring from our game this year.  And having the four # 1 seeds still in the tournament has also lowered the scoring as more of the lower pts per game players were drafted and still in the tournament.  I think that any time you lose as many big scorers like we did this year with Missouri, Duke, Fl State and Vanderbilt going down, your bound to see some different results.  15 out of our top 40 picks are out of the tournament.

The matchups for this weekend has been prepared and if you go to the Sweet 16 Matchups tab, you can retrieve a copy of the Thursday and Friday game matchups.
