Sweet 16 has been set:

<-UCLA Bruins Bryce Alford (coach Steve Alford's son) is the active leading scorer in the tournament.  Drafted in the 12th round (114th pick in the draft) by Team Noffke.  What a pick as he has poured in 49 points so far through 2 game (25 points better than expected from his 15.5 per game regular season average)

From a tournament standpoint, the following conferences have teams represented in the Sweet 16:

ACC - 5 (UNC, NC STATE, DUKE, NOTRE DAME, LOUISVILLE)

PAC 12 - 3 (ARIZONA, UTAH, UCLA)

BIG 10 - 2 (WISCONSIN, MICHIGAN STATE)

BIG 12 - 2 (OKLAHOMA, WEST VIRGINIA)

SEC- 1 (KENTUCKY)

WEST COAST - 1 (GONZAGA)

BIG EAST - 1 (XAVIER)

MISSOURI VALLEY - 1 (WICHITA STATE)

Current year:

TEAM Noffke is looking to rock this draft this year.  Going into the Sat / Sun games, they were expected to score 563 points, they hit 596 thanks to the 63 points they achieved from their 3 UCLA draft picks.  TEAM Noffke only lost 3 players over the weekend so they sit with a 40+ lead over 2nd place Bob Glinke and have by far the most draft picks (15) remaining in the game.  Right now, I see the fight to be over 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.  Lock it up Bruce, Steve & Mark.

Three out of the 4 # 1 seeds advanced this weekend to the Sweet 16.  The only # 1 seed to fall was Villanova losing to a very tough # 8 seed NC State on Saturday 71-68. # 7 West Wichita State won the battle of Kansas with an impressive win over # 2 West KU this weekend, 78-65.  Kentucky still is riding their undefeated season, looking to stretch the streak to 37-0 in their game against West Virginia on Thursday night in the Sweet 16

The matchups for this weekend has been prepared and if you go to the Sweet 16 Matchups tab, you can retrieve a copy of the Thursday and Friday game matchups or click here for the pdf file.
