 This year # 1 seed North Carolina got a form of redemption with a 71-65 win over # 1 seed Gonzaga.  It was a year ago in the championship game where Villanova's Kris Jenkins hit the game winner at the buzzer to eke out a 77-74 win over the Tar Heels.  This year's championship game was mediocre at best with both teams shooting under 36% from the field for the game.  North Carolina, despite being outrebounded by Gonzaga and shooting 4-27 (15%) from 3 point range still managed to win this game.  Justin Jackson completed a 3 point play with 1:40 left in the game to put North Carolina in the lead and they hung on to seal Coach Roy William's third national championship.  There was a total of 44 personal fouls called in the game and the 52 combined free throws slowed the game down.
